Dr V. provides individual and group cognitive-behavioral treatment and mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral treatments for a variety of mental health issues (OCD, Depression, GAD, Insomnia, etc.). She also helps individuals with stress management & coping/recovering from a serious medical illness (e.g., heart event, cancer). Dr. V. offers therapy services in-person as well as via video or telephone.
Dr V. teaches mindfulness skills in individual and group formats to those new to mindfulness or renewing/deepening their practice. She can help you cope effectively with life events associated with distress or pain, reconnect with joy and pleasure, and make wise and healthy decisions to improve your life quality and satisfaction. Dr. V. offers mindfulness training in-person as well as via video or telephone.
Dr V. has experience supervising and mentoring researchers and clinicians in CBT for anxiety and depression as well as MBCT and mindfulness-based approaches for stress management, managing pain and chronic health conditions, and mood disorders. To promote access to mindfulness-based treatments in underserved communities, Dr V. provides a discounted supervision fee to clinicians in community mental health settings.
Dr V. provides consultation to a variety of community partners including researchers interested in developing/testing CBT or mindfulness-based interventions and apps, as well as to agencies/organizations interested in offering mindfulness meditation courses & trainings to employees, staff, or clients.
